Strasbourg is the eigth largest city in France, and the largest in the Alsacian cultural region which borders Germany along the Rhine River. Given its geographically centralized location within the Europe, and for also housing the European Parliament Building, its often dubbed the "Capital of Europe,." It's also known internationally as the Christmas Capital of the World! Every year from November 24 until December 31, Strasbourg holds the Christkindelsmarik (meaning "market of the Christ Child"), the longest running market in France's history and one of the most visited markets in all of Europe. With hundreds of shops selling delicious foods, mulled wines, and delicious treats, to the beautifully lit streets with Christmas decor, to even a 100ft tall Christmas tree, Strasbourg has it all for any Christmas enthusiast! Join me this week as we once again explore one of my favourite cities in the world, the beautiful Strasbourg, and its delightful Christmas Markets!
