Powell River Adventure – Part 5 (Final Episode) 🦭🦅

In this final episode of the Powell River series, we set out to explore the northern side of the region. Starting in Powell River, the goal was to drive up and explore the upper part of the area, making our way toward Lund while checking out some interesting spots along the way. One of the first stops was the famous Breakwater concrete ship graveyard, a unique place where old ships sit resting along the water. While exploring the area we were lucky enough to spot several seals relaxing together on the floating barrier nearby — just enjoying the calm coastal morning. Continuing the drive north, we stopped at a few beautiful and easy-to-access beach spots where you can actually drive right down and enjoy incredible ocean views. Even with the typical coastal weather, the scenery in this part of British Columbia never disappoints. Eventually we made it all the way up to Lund, the small town at the end of the road, before wrapping up our adventure. The next morning it was time to leave Powell River and catch the ferry back toward Vancouver Island. This trip was our first time exploring Powell River, but it definitely won’t be the last. There are still so many backroads, trails, and hidden places left to discover.
