Driftwood name lives up to it's name, as wood is its main feature throughout the decor. Driftwood offers en-suite rooms, 4 Sea View Rooms are located on the top floor and 4 Garden View Rooms are located on the ground floor. Sea View Rooms Sea View Rooms are spacious en-suite rooms with spectacular views across the Atlantic ocean. Amenities include two ¾ beds which can alternatively be converted into a king-sized bed as well as a bar fridge, filter coffee and tea station, complimentary water, bathroom amenities and a small bottle of wine to enjoy on your private balcony. One of the Sea View rooms can accommodate a family of 5. Garden View Rooms Garden View Rooms are spacious en-suite rooms with tranquil views of our manicured garden. Amenities include two ¾ beds which can alternatively be converted into a king-sized bed as well as a bar fridge, filter coffee and tea station, complimentary water, and bathroom amenities. One of the Garden View rooms can accommodate a family of 4. The Facilities Our guests can expect breakfast served with a twist. Special touches include Swakopmund asparagus, homemade breads, and fresh smoothies served in our cosy, open plan kitchen. We have included an la carte breakfast menu and a breakfast tray. We can also pre-pack breakfasts for early travellers. For guests visiting the nearby beach, we offer towels, umbrellas and beach bats free of charge. There is a Yoga Studio just next door which is open to all our guests, at a small fee. At Driftwood Guesthouse, our main focus is on being small, convenient and authentically Namibian. The Grounds and Surrounds The guesthouse is 200 meters from a beautiful beach, so be sure to grab the free umbrella and beach towels at reception if you want to spend a day there. The beach is undisturbed so don’t be surprised if you have it all to yourself. An idyllic garden walking route next to the ocean leads towards the city centre and Mole, making this a must-do walking activity. The new shopping centre “Platz am Meer” is also within walking distance from the guesthouse, where you will find anything from restaurants and pharmacies to grocery shops. Swakopmund boasts some of the best restaurants in Namibia, one of which is on our doorstep – the famous Wurstbude restaurant and bar. Activities Nearby activities include a visit to the Kristall Galerie, Mole restaurants and museum. For the more adventurous, Swakopmund is also called the adventure capital of Namibia boasting activities such as; Hot Air Ballooning, Scenic Flights, Guided Seal & Dolphin Cruises, Living Desert Tours, Hafeni Township Tours, Dune Boarding, Dune Quad Bike Excursions and Sky Diving. Our reception can assist with arranging bookings for you and your group.
