Kurulduğu semte adını veren Valide Sultan Köprüsü, Osmanlı Dönemi’ne ait en önemli eserlerinden biri olarak kabul edilir. Karamürsel’den başlayarak, Karaahmetli, Hayriye, Yalakdere köylerinden geçen ve İznik’e giden yolun üzerindedir. 17'inci yüzyılda, Klasik Türk Mimarisi tarzında kesme taşlarla yapılmıştır. Üç gözlü, sivri kemerli bir yapıya sahip olan köprünün boyu 64 metreyi, genişliği 4,5 metredir. Ortadaki en büyük gözün genişliği ise 12,3 metredir. Köprünün ayaklarının önünde üçgen selyaranlar bulunuyor. Valide Sultan Bridge, which gave its name to the district where it was founded, is considered one of the most important works of the Ottoman Period. It is on the road that starts from Karamürsel, passes through the villages of Karaahmetli, Hayriye, Yalakdere and goes to Iznik. It was built with cuted stones in the 17th century, in the style of Classical Turkish Architecture. The bridge, which has a three-eyed, pointed-arch structure, is 64 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. The width of the largest eye in the middle is 12.3 meters. There is a triangular flood barrier in front of the abutments of the bridge.
