Exploring Woodville, Texas: A Scenic Drive Through Deep East Texas

Lets take a drive around the town of Woodville, Texas, the county seat of Tyler County in Texas, with a population of around 2500 residents. We will drive in on US Highway 69 South and into the downtown area. As we go along there will be: Woodville ISD, Tyler County Courthouse, the Dogwood Diner, some older renovated pier and beam homes, the Volunteer Fire Department, the City Office, First Methodist Church, Citizens State Bank, First Baptist Church, and the Credit Union. Of course, we will also see lots of stores, restaurants, trucks, and Texas flags. We will even see some white picket fences as we drive around the downtown square. Woodville is known as the Dogwood Capital of Texas, but there are no dogwoods blooming in the fall for us to see – we would need to be driving through in March or April to see the dogwoods in bloom.
