I am Der Geher and I was on vacation. This week's walk is through Bordeaux, France. Starting at the Place de Quinconces, the walk heads towards the city center and the Place de la Bourse with the Miroir d'eau and a view of the Garonne River. Following one of the downtown streets, the Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux is next. The Grosse Cloche and the triumphal arch Porte de Bourgogne conclude the walk. At the time, Bordeaux was hosting the 24th edition of the European Company Sports Games. At the competition, which takes place every two years, teams from all over Europe meet to play sports together. This time there were about 7,200 participants from 30 countries. On the walk it is possible to have a look at the competition in pétanque right at the beginning. I also meet many participants on the way. Go along with all of them. In two years it will be going to Clavià in Spain for the 25th Games.
