Utilizing double bass for the motif to emphasize Escharum's weight and heft according to Gareth Coker, his theme also utilizes a sound akin to a reverbed, digitized monkey howl, heavy and tribal percussion, and a secondary motif that's used for the boss battles and hectic encounters with The Banished.
