The Sony RX10 MkIV bridge camera does not have a manual pop up flash that the power output can be controlled like with all other Panasonic Lumix bridge cameras, This is my challenge in getting an external flash gun to work with this camera. If you select a high shutter speed the live view screen will dim which means that if you want to exclude ambient light you cannot see the subject. After much menu searching I found the setting which will prevent this. From a simple wired extension cord, single channel basic RF wireless trigger to the very sophisticated Godox Wireless X system I show how this can be implemented on the Sony and Panasonic bridge cameras.
