We now have a Patreon through which you can support the growth of our channel / soapsnsudsnsuch we appreciate all support we receive and thanks again for watching Recipe - (To insure all steps are followed correctly to ensure the cake taste the best it can please watch video first before making because I follow many of these steps for reasons so my cake taste the best this recipe has been in my family I remember eating it as a very young child and I am no spring chicken so this recipe has been in my family for quite some time) Preheat oven to 325 % 3 cups All Purpose flour (Sifted) 3 cups of Granulated Sugar 1 tsp. Baking Powder 1 cup of milk (let set to room temp.) 2 sticks of Real Butter (I use salted cut into small cubes and let set to room temp.) 1/2 cup Crisco Shortening 6 Large Eggs (Let set to room temp.) 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract Step 1 - Grease pan with Crisco shortening thoroughly then flour your pan thoroughly. Step 2 - Sift Flour ( Don't have a sifter use a sieve) Step 3 - Add to mixing Bowl Sugar, Crisco Shortening & Butter mix or blend well till color goes from yellow to white. Step 4 - Mix in one egg at a time till are eggs are mixed in thoroughly. Step 5 - Add to mixing bowl 1/2 of the flour & 1/2 of the milk do not mix until step 6 has been completed. Step 6 - Now sprinkle baking powder into remaining milk sometimes I have to stir it in but not usually you should see bubbles occurring in the milk it should begin to bubble up that is the mixture being activated let mixture set until step 7 has been completed. Step 7 - now mix the 1/2 of flour & 12 of milk that was added to mixing bowl in step 5 mix thoroughly. Step 8 - Now add to mixing bowl the rest of the flour & activated milk and mix thoroughly. Step 9 - Add to mixing bowl the Vanilla Extract & mix thoroughly. Step 10 - pour into pan Step 11 - place into 325 % preheated oven and set timer for 11/2 hours. Step 12- when timer goes off remove immediately from oven with covered hands roll pan back and fourth in hands. Step 13 - Take a thin bladed knife and go around the edges of pan. Step 14 - Shake and shimmy pan back and fourth then place a plate over top and flip over onto the plate to release the cake from the pan. Step 15 - place plate atop of 3 coffee cups till completely cooled. Step 16 - Once completely cooled then for a moist cake wrap tightly in ten foil for more crunchy and not so moist center store in a cake holder unwrapped with ten foil.
