#Tiger #Lion #Big_Cat_Habitat ~295-342 kg (avg. 700+) Handsome Versus ~370-386 kg Conan: I received a message from Clayton Rosaire the head keeper at Big cat Habitat regarding the measurements of Conan the largest tiger, and Handsome the lion the largest lion at the sanctuary. In terms of weight and length, Conan the tiger was bigger then Handsome the lion. Conan the tiger reached a little over 800 lbs (Similar in weight to Simba, about 370 kg or 816≥ lbs) and 11.5 feet in length. In comparison, Handsome the lion weighed about 650-750 lbs (avg. about 700 lbs +/-) and measured in just under 9.8 feet in length. It should also be mentioned, that Conan was past his prime (Somewhere around 15 years old, source herald tribune), which means his weight would have been even greater in his prime years (6-7 yrs old). The lion fans didn't take the ages into account which is the reason why the size gap changed between the two animals. Big cats will lose body mass as they age, which the lion fans did not take into account for. Handsome the lions weight in fact dropped after the age of 6. If we were to compare equal ages, Conan would be much heavier then Handsome.
