Wind can be your worst nightmare when trying to film outdoors and this DIY wind muffler does an excellent job of keeping wind noise to a minimum. Many point and shoot cameras are not compatible with external microphones so the only way to combat the wind is by installing a wind muffler. You can purchase wind mufflers online however, every one I have seen requires you to use adhesive which may mark your camera when removed. By using the 3M tabs you avoid marking your camera and have the same if not better wind muffling result. This set up cost me £4 and I could make 6 mufflers out of it. You will need one pack of damage free mini hanging hooks by 3M, one small paint roller, scissors, sharp knife and a chopping board.
