The most superior being in the hierarchy of life is Paramatma. He has held this supreme position since before the beginning of time and will continue to do so even after the end, occupying a realm beyond our imagination. Yet, this same Paramatma, who can create the entire universe with his mere thought, can also effortlessly vanquish a tiny demon like Hiranyakashipu. But to honor the words of his devotees, Chaturmukha Brahma and Prahlada, he manifested as a half-human, half-lion figure, breaking all natural laws to emerge from a pillar. He needed to prove that the boon granted by Chaturmukha Brahma to Hiranyakashipu was true and also to uphold the faith of young Prahlada, who confidently declared, "Yes, my Vishnu is present in this pillar too." This extraordinary episode allows us to contemplate Lord Narasimha. Presented here is a beautiful Abhang composed by Sant Tukaram Maharaj, glorifying the Narasimha Avatar. It depicts Prahlada as the reason for the Lord's incarnation. Throughout history, Lord Narayana has appeared in various forms whenever his devotees have called out to him with devotion, to rescue them from rakshasas, and Lord has taken avatar and reduced mighty demons to ashes. "Prahalada Karane Narasimha Jhalasi" is sung in raag Bhimpalas by our Mandali President Sri Timappa R Hegdeji.
