Video on how to make a fruit basket using popsicle sticks/ icecream sticks Materials Required Popsicle sticks, Hexagon pattern print out, Glue, Acrylic Paints of desired color, Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons Vinegar - 1 tablespoon Method: 1. Place 3 sticks over the alternative sides of hexagon, 2. Glue 3 other sticks connecting the adjacent ends of sticks, 3. Continue with the next layer spreading out 0.5cm away from the base layer, 4. Continue spreading out the sticks for 5 more layers, 5. Continue another 5 layers without spreading out but sticking exactly on top , 6. Let dry for sometime, 7. Flip over to get the bottom side up, 8. Continue layering of sticks leaving 0.5cm from the below layer, 9. These layers should fall behind so that the gap is filled as the layers are increased, 10. Stop layers when a stick can connect 2 ends horizontally, 11. Fill the base with sticks using glue, 12. Stick 2 layers of sticks for base so that it will be strong, 13. Follow the same hexagon pattern and build layers raising outwards, 14. Continue with spreading out base for 5 layers, 15. Continue 5 straight layers(not spreading out), 16. Let dry for sometime, 17. Coat the basket with acrylic paint of desired color, 18. Coat the basket with glue after paint dries, 19. Take olive oil and vinegar in the ratio of 4:1,4 tbsp olive oil : 1 tbsp vinegar, 20. Mix well so that oil and vinegar comes together, 21. Coat the basket with oil + vinegar mix, 22. After 15 minutes wipe the basket with cotton or tissue paper to remove excess of oil.
