1999 Pontiac Grand Am 2 4L Timing Chain Replacement - Part 1

Time to replace the Timing Chain and Gears on my 1999 Pontiac Grand am with a 2.4 Liter. I am getting a rough low idle, and vibration, and it smells like it runs a little rich at Idle. It also has a little less horse power on the high end than it used to. I have already done quite a bit of trouble shooting. I get no check engine lights. Fuel trims are good and there are no vacuum leaks that I can find. The plugs and ignition components are working fine. The injectors are not leaking and seem to be fine. I have had a few mechanics tell me these are common symptoms of a stretched timing chain in the 2.4 and it's a pretty common problem on these engines.
