Visit the still relatively unknown Erawan National Park with its 7 waterfalls. The starting point is Kanchanaburi, about 120 km west of Bangkok. From there you can take a bus or taxi to the national park, about 65 km northwest. The Khwae Yai River falls in 7 steps through the rainforest to the entrance of the park. The path up is now well developed up to the last step. The first steps are very easy to reach, but if you want to go up to the last two steps, it becomes a bit more difficult because you have to climb a few steps. But it's not rocket science! Don't forget your swimwear because you can plunge into the wonderful turquoise cool water at most of the steps. You should plan at least 3 - 4 hours for the whole tour (there and back) if you want to make a few stops for swimming and not run through the park.
