D2N+ Drone Design Challenge - The "VR Configurator": Showcasing the tool Pt.2

The "VR Configurator" was created as part of the Digital Design Network+ Project, in response to Challenge 1: Re-imagining the drone design process. This case study aimed to explore how new digital tools can make our design processes better, faster, and use less resources. This tool aims to demonstrate that Extended Reality (XR) can fill the gap between physical sketching and CAD. It can provide an intuitive and rapid 3D designing environment, that enables high-level analysis which can be used to guide the designer towards superior designs and instantly compare between different options. This will not only offer designers the opportunity to design faster, better and with less, but also opens up new options to communicate designs with others, and opens the door to more advanced real-time analysis during the ideation process itself. This video showcases how high-level analysis can be used in real-time to inform design decisions, and potentially unlock new design options that may not be identified during a traditional design process.
