The Scrounger Jig Head has been around for many years, it features a weighted head with a hook and a plastic bill or lip attached to the front. The purpose of the bill or lip is to create a distinctive swimming action and vibration when the jig is retrieved through the water. During retrieval, the bill or lip causes the jig head to wobble and produce a side-to-side motion, mimicking the movement of injured baitfish. In this video, I will demonstrate a cost-effective method to make Scrounger Jig Head using plastic soda bottle. It can be paired with a various soft plastic bait, such as straight tail swimbaits, curly tail grubs and creature baits. I will avoid using paddle tail as it will “compete” with the action of the bill/lip and become less effective. Hope you enjoy making the Scrounger Jig Head.
