Scenic Hiking Round Trip through the Hani rice terraces - stunning!

People told us the only hiking route possible is between Quanfuzhuang and Bada and correct that route is signposted with signs (slabs) in English/French. In Bada you can go up the road and visit the Bada scenic area (ticket required, coffee available, toilets). It is however also possible to continue along the footpaths between the villages. We went from Bada to Malizhai, through the village, past the cemetery all the way down to the river. There is a bridge to cross the river, then all the way up to Qingkou where there are some Hani cultural sites and a small shop. We then continued behind the cultural centre (toilets) back to Quanfuzhuang. There was one tree obstacle to go over, but for the rear the path is fine, mostly paved, not muddy. Views are spectacular and you get very close to the action. Including the Bada scenic area we walked 14 km, 650m climbing. Hardly saw anybody, recommended. Of course be mindful that you are walking in local villages and rice terraces so please be respectful and do not litter.
