Why Gyeongju? 📍Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom and is FULL of beautiful temples, royal tombs, and traditional houses. I visited most of the historical spots, but there’s still so much more — so if you have time, try to explore as much as you can! I’ll leave the places we visited and the tour route we followed, but feel free to adjust it to your schedule: Bulguksa Temple – a famous UNESCO World Heritage site Seokguram Grotto – home to the smiling Buddha Cheomseongdae – the oldest observatory in Asia Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond – beautiful at night Daereungwon Tombs – walk among giant ancient tombs Hwangnidan-gil – a cute street full of cafes and hanok houses Woljeonggyo Bridge – a stunning traditional bridge, especially beautiful when lit up at night ✨ Gyeongju will definitely become one of your favorite cities in Korea!
