Playa del Camisón - A quiet, protected sandy bay with extensive leisure activities Playa del Camisón is situated in the tourist stronghold of Las Americas. On this coast the beaches form a continuous stretch of sand. One of them is the swimming bay of Playa del Camisón. The light sandy beach is about 300 metres in length and is consequently a lot smaller than its neighbouring beach to the east, Playa de las Vistas. At the rear of the beach is a promenade lined with palm trees with a wide variety of bars and restaurants, behind which the hotels dominate the skyline. Playa del Camisón is enclosed on both sides by enormous wave breakers. As a result the water is calm and shallow when entering the water, perfect conditions for paddling. In terms of infrastructure the beach has a lot to offer. There are toilet facilities, snack bars, a place to hire sun-loungers and parasols, as well as a beach club at the eastern end of the beach. You can also rent pedal boats and stand-up paddleboards here and get out on to the water in a specially designated area. Due to its convenient size and what it has to offer, Playa del Camisón can become very full at times in the summer months.
