Today, we will take a look at the top 10 most innovative SaaS startups. 00:00 01:05 #10 MoEngage: Founded by Raviteja Dodda and Yashwanth Kumar in 2014, MoEngage is a SaaS-based platform that uses data analytics to help its clients to better understand their customer behaviour and patterns. MoEngage has clients across 35 countries and touches the lives of more than 400 million people every single month. 02:05 #9 Whatfix: Founded by Khadim Bhatti and Vara Kumar in 2013, Whatfix is a B2B SaaS startup that is helping companies accelerate user adoption of their software applications by easing the process of onboarding, training and support through its personalized and interactive step by step in-app guides. Whatfix saw its revenues grow 3X in 2019 and has expanded its services to over 600 companies around the globe. 02:50 #8 CleverTap: CleverTap, previously known as WizRocket, is a mobile marketing startup which was founded by Anand Jain, Suresh Kondamudi and Sunil Thomas in 2013. It uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to boost user retention by providing personalized customer experience based on their needs. CleverTap has helped its customers to gain $2 billion in incremental revenue and has raised more than $70 million from various investors. 03:32 #7 Manthan: Business intelligence and analytics provider Manthan was founded by Atul Jalan in 2003. Manthan offers cloud-based analytics products which help its clients with consumer-facing businesses to grow by taking data-driven actions to boost customer engagement across different channels like website, physical store and app. Till date, Manthan has raised nearly $100 million from investors including Chiratae Ventures, InnoVen Capital, Temasek Holdings and Norwest Venture Partners. 04:09 #6 Capillary Technologies: Capillary Technologies was started by Aneesh Reddy, Krishna Mehra and Ajay Modani in 2008. Capillary started its operations in Bangalore with SaaS-based mobile-first loyalty program. However, by 2015, Aneesh was the only founder left at the company and it was also losing money rapidly which lead him to shut operations in a couple of markets after rapid expansion. Aneesh managed to turn things around by making Capillary into an omnichannel customer engagement platform to help both online and offline brands. 05:26 #5 Icertis: Contract management startup Icertis, which was founded by Monish Darda and Samir Bodas in 2009. Icertis enables enterprises to manage different kind of contracts to help them ensure compliance, negotiate contracts and handle procurement in order to streamline their supply chain operations. Icertis became a unicorn in 2019. 06:20 #4 Druva: Founded by Jaspreet Singh and Milind Borat in 2008, Druva is an all-in-one data protection provider. Druva offers complete data protection to its customers by providing services like data recovery, data migration, ransomware protection and cloud backup on demand. Druva joined the famed unicorn club last year along with Icertis and has so far helped more than 4,000 customers. 07:21 #3 Freshworks: Founded by Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy in 2010, Freshworks is one of the leading SaaS unicorns in India. Freshworks was started to empower the customer support teams to work with the customers to resolve their issues in an effective and efficient manner. Today, Freshworks has more than 10 SaaS-based products which are being used by more than 150,000 customers across the world. It has raised almost $400 million from its investors. 08:43 #2 HighRadius: Founded by Sashi Narahari way back in 2006, HighRadius is a fintech company that uses artificial intelligence to help its clients to automate their account receivables and payment processes so they can manage their cash flows more efficiently. The startup was bootstrapped by Sashi for more than a decade and today, it has more than 350 customers around the globe across multiple industries and has processed transactions worth more than $1.3 trillion. HighRadius raised its first outside investment in 2017 and became a unicorn in 2020. 09:42 #1 Zoho: India’s SaaS behemoth Zoho was started by Sridhar Vembu way back in 1996. Till date, the startup has been completely bootstrapped by Sridhar. Zoho was initially called AdventNet until 2009. Zoho has emerged as a leader in cloud technology for providing productivity, project management, IT support and sales tools.
