TESTING German WWII Surplus AP SmK Ammo Armor Piercing 8MM Mauser 7.92x57 Milsurp Ammunition Review

Recently a large batch of WWII German SmK Ammo has hit the surplus market. I had to put this armor piercing ammunition to the test. This 1943 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm) is steel cased and had a 178g bullet with a steel core penetrator. Keep in mind this ammo is corrosive and you should take the proper steps to clean your rifle should you choose to shoot it. I don't really recommend shooting this ammo because it is more of a collectors item in my opinion but it is good quality ammo and for the price I can understand why someone would be tempted to send it. I shot a total of 11 rounds for this video. We didn't encounter any hangfires or split cases. The accuracy was acceptable out of a Yugo M24/52c, mind you I'm not the world's best marksman. I'd say it passed the armor piercing test with flying colors. This ammo is still basically everywhere right now so if you haven't picked any up yet I would go ahead and do so. It won't last forever.
