This strategy takes advantage of Quaquaval's ability, Moxie, and its signature move, Aqua Step, to increase both Attack and Speed after getting a KO. This can be safely done by Lycanroc slowing down opponents with Rock Tomb and lowering their HP with Endeavor. Lycanroc can also set up Stealth Rock and use taunt to prevent opponent's setups/status. Quaquaval has a White Herb to negate the stat drops from the first use of Close Combat, and has Tera-Steel to resist otherwise Super-Effective Grass, Fairy, Psychic, and Flying attacks.
