PhoneSites Training - How to Reformat Lead Data for a CRM's Input Fields Using Zapier Sometimes when you're sending data to a CRM, to an email marketing platform, etc. you need to reformat the data to meet exactly what that third-party software needs. For example, say your leads are adding in a phone number but without a country code and your CRM or Twilio need a country code. Or perhaps the CRM wants the data formatted a certain way: ###-###-#### vs (###)###-####. Or maybe your contact form is asking for full name but the CRM needs first and last name split up. Splitting up that full name also helps in personalizing your follow up (you can use merge fields to add in the contact's first name to make it more personalized). If you use some of Zapier's built in tools, such as Zapier Formatter, you can reformat the data from PhoneSites to match the input fields of that third-party software. The trick is to first find out what your CRM, Twilio, etc. expect in terms of field input. Then, the trick is to learn how to use Zapier Formatter (easy to do). Zapier has documentation on this and there's plenty of stuff available in a free Google or YouTube search.
