This time I've taken the time to publish a more representative video of the audio quality of my main system, thanks to the wonderful AT BP4025 microphone and the great Motu M2 audio interface (which has an excellent DAC and good preamps by the way). That said, it's still not real to life. There is a certain amout of warmth lacking and same with the finest details or the 3D and the level of sound pressure. So, this is the last update of my ACTIVE system. This is probably the maximum that I'll be able to achieve with the Magnepan 1.7i. If you like your MG's, you'll love how better they can sound when going active... With the addition of the AUDIOPHONICS LPA-S400ET amplifiers the speakers are now firmly under control as they need powerful amps capable of delivering a lot of current to have good grip. The sound is better defined than with Class AB, more dynamic and never aggressive with the Sparkos discrete Opamp's (very musical AND nothing is lost). The rest is shown in the video. I recommend without any restrictions all the elements used in this setup, everything is in its place and makes it coherent.
