Reusing your old pc to build a storage server is a big money saver. A server tends to be expensive and that is mainly because it has powerful hardware, Cheap NAS has no room to grow. Good NAS is extremely expensive. This is why I chose Unraid because I can build a network storage fairly cheap and be able to upgrade your array at any time it in the future to make it extremely powerful. Because it is a PC it can be fully upgrade.
