Since the electrical parameters of a solar cell depend on irradiance and temperature, they must be measured at the same conditions for comparability with other solar cells or modules. In this video, we introduce the so-called STC - the standard test conditions - at which PV modules are usually measured. Solar simulators are typically used for these measurements. Under real operating conditions, however, PV modules heat up to different degrees depending on the installation situation, resulting in deviations from the parameters determined under STC.
