Randy Newberg drew a permit area tag outside of his home in Bozeman, Montana for Mule Deer. Joined by his good friend, Bart May, they take a string of llamas into the mountains in November in search of a muley buck. Hiking through knee-deep snow, they see multiple moose on the hike up. Once they get a ways in they start glassing up some does. Continuing to climb elevation they find a buck up on top of the ridge. Without spooking it, they let it keep on moving towards his bed. After a quick lunch break, they head up towards where they think the buck was headed. They relocate this large 3-point laying in his bed. Using a tree branch as a rest, he gets a shot.
