Today, Yooupi came to the heights of Tourmales in the French Pyrenees, where the most important activity of the year for herders is going on: grazing. Grazing in the Pyrenees starts from the summer of May to June every year and lasts until October of that year. The sheep are driven from the forest farms below the mountain to the pastures on the top of the mountain to obtain more fresh pastures. This grazing method enables us to obtain more Excellent quality lamb. I will complete this grazing together with 4 local herdsmen. After arriving at the destination, I was lucky to see the birth of the little lambs. The herdsmen also showed the most primitive and traditional way of shearing sheep in France. In the end, the herdsmen prepared a variety of alpine delicacies. The sausage and vegetable stew were delicious, and there were freshly roasted lamb shanks and veal for us. Not only did it let me learn about the way of animal husbandry and grazing in the Pyrenees, but I also ate local delicacies, and it was another happy day in the countryside.
