It’s over 40 year since I rode this road The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Rides the Trough of Bowland

I was in my late teens and a volunteer instructor with my local RAC/ACU training scheme, we decided to have a ride out with all the instructors to Morecambe. The route was planned via Skipton the over the Trough of Bowland. It was a scorching hot day with the sun blazing down, so we decided to take our jackets off and ride in T-shirts. What a lovely feeling, the wind cooling us as we rode. Later when setting off back we put our jackets on and OUCH, sun and wind burn. To say it was painful is an understatement. Never again have I ridden without a jacket! Why have I left it so long before riding it again? It’s amazing, moors, valley, river, farms, sheep, it had it all. One thing I can definitely say is it won’t be another 40 years before I’m back. So here we go, enjoy the ride.
