She is a Board member of the Detroit & Michigan National Lawyers Guild and was co-counsel in the successful Detroit Will Breathe litigation against the Detroit Police Department. Nancy is currently active with #StopShotSpotter and the Coalition for Police Transparency & Accountability. TAWANA PETTY Convening Member of Detroit Digital Justice Coalition Tawana is a social justice organizer, poet, and author. Her work focuses on racial justice and equity issues, as well as advocating for data and digital privacy and consent. She has been a convening member of the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition since 2016.
