Electrolyte shifts can cause problems when you are starting the ketogenic way of eating, including causing the keto-flu. The ketoflu is not the real flu, and is not contagious, but can make you feel yucky for a few days. What if you had a tasty, sparkling drink you could sip on that would optimize your electrolytes, keep you hydrated and get rid of the ketoflu? We’ve been working on a recipe for just such a nutritious drink for almost a month, and here it is. YES... We know about limes and lemons... so just disregard that. You will want to make this drink in a glass container (we use a quart/liter glass jar). Plastic can have some negative health properties, and doesn’t react well with some essential oils. We tried to keep the ingredients as simple as possible so you would have access to them, no matter where you live. Make at least a quart at at time so you have enough to last all day.
