UNICEF Kazakhstan hosted its first Gala Dinner, "A Sky Full of Stars," raising 92.6 million KZT to support its digital inclusion program. This initiative aims to help over 2,000 children with special educational needs develop digital skills and access inclusive education. The Gala, held in partnership with The St. Regis Astana, became part of UNICEF’s global tradition, bringing together leaders from business, culture, and the arts. The digital inclusion program has already shown success in pilot regions across Kazakhstan. Since 2021, 131 adolescents with visual disabilities have learned digital skills, thanks to the program’s provision of laptops, phones, specialized software, and training by trainers with visual disabilities. These efforts have empowered children to become more independent, improve their access to education, and consider higher education opportunities. The evening featured an auction with exclusive items, including a traditional chapan and anthology from the collection of legendary singer Bibigul Tulegenova, a painting by Kazakh artist Zeynep Tussipova, a tennis racket signed by Elena Rybakina, and a limited-edition ring from DAMIANI. UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassadors, including the musical group Ninety One, a children’s choir, and soloists from Astana Opera, delivered unforgettable performances. Guests also participated in a raffle with valuable prizes donated by event partners. UNICEF Kazakhstan extends its gratitude to all contributors. Special thanks go to Bibigul Tulegenova, Nurlan Smagulov, Nazym Kyzaibai, Toyota Motor Kazakhstan LLP, Alpysbai Kazygulov, artist Airelle, Tamerlan Tles, Daulet Urankhaev, the Kazakhstan Football Federation, Baurzhan Sagiev, and jewelry houses FARRO and DAMIANI for their unique auction items. The organization also thanks Dinara Satzhan, a UNICEF Friend, Turkish Airlines, Sheraton Hotel Astana, Rixos Borovoe, G&G, The St. Regis Astana, ZAVOD Events Agency, Argymaq, Astana Opera, Mystery Astana, VELADA Model Agency & Model School, Bala Time, Orda Music, and the event hosts Nurlan Saburov and Albina Abish for their unwavering support. Media partners included MYD Production, MEGA, Good Project, Tatler Kazakhstan, weproject.media, PR Drive, Freedom Ticketon, and TAJ Magazine. The funds raised will provide children with the necessary equipment and specialized software to help them become more independent and confident. Updates on the project’s results will be shared on the official website: unicef.org/kazakhstan. UNICEF does not endorse any company, brand, product, or service.
