This is the Altoona Rifle & Pistol Club IDPA/GPA/Outlaw match for August 2025. Mixing it up with parts of all these shooting sports. Great practice for everything! Sadly, I was the only one there not using a red dot, semi auto handgun. I was shooting in Enhanced Service Revolver (ESR) in the Revolver (REV) division, and I am classified there as Expert (EX). I was using a mix of 180gr factory .40S&W ammo - Federal, PMC, Blazer, Speer. Power factor is about 175. No majors until next month, so still playing around with revolvers I do not get to shoot much. Never shot this 610 until Friday afternoon and got it out for competition Saturday morning. .40S&W is a sharper - faster recoil than the big .45ACP. I am not sure which I prefer in a moonclip revolver. Reloads were for sure slower with the flat nose .40S&W rounds. Stage 3 - hit that white target non-threat in the far array - dropped one of the body shots too far low. Stage 4 - I get spooked by non-threats on targets. Pulled the left target head shot on the far array off the paper.
