I will list some places we went to in the order we went and some places we didn't go to due to the weather! For military people, you can always rent a cabin from the Kilauea Military Camp, unfortunately, it was booked when we went. They have food and a rec center/ bowling there as well! As always, if you have any questions, leave them down below! Thanks for watching! DAY 1 Late AM flight from Honolulu to the Hilo side. Ate lunch at the Hilo Burger Joint. This is when we would have gone to Akaka Falls, but it was closed due to severe weather. Rainbow Falls You can also go see Kuamana Caves. Stayed at an AirBnB-type house in Volcano (the town). Waited until it was dark to go see the lava. DAY 2 Thurston Lava Tubes Black Sand Beach\- You can also check out Green Sand Beach Southernmost Point f Hawaii and U.S Punalu'u Bake Shop - Southernmost Bakery Kona Outrigger Resort and Spa DAY 3 AM flight home out of Kona There are A LOT of things you can add and/or take away from this trip. Adjust as needed. There are also a lot of other things you could do on the Big Island as well. Swimming with manta rays, visiting Coffee Farms, checking out the seahorse farm, and much more!
