🎮 In this video, I’ll show you how to set up Sunshine game streaming inside Batocerav42, running on Proxmox via external SSD. FYI — I used a second monitor attached directly to my GPU, connected to the Batocera VM, including mouse and keyboard passthrough for easier setup and testing. ( Guide: binshare.net/XNcpzBqPYxlW3Ywq317s ) 🔧 Troubleshoot (Credits jd_27 for this fix) if you encounter "Unable to find display or encoder during startup" Do the following: nano /userdata/system/services/sunshine and add export DISPLAY=:0 in the start_service() function def. manually add the nvidia drivers into modules. Prerequisites GPU passthrough configured on Proxmox: 👉 pve.proxmox.com/wiki/PCI_Passthrough Moonlight app: 👉 moonlight-stream.org This setup avoids the usual .img headaches and jumps straight to the good stuff — a fully working Batocera VM inside Proxmox. You can create a virtual drive and attach it to the Batocera VM afterward. Once booted into Batocera (from an external USB or SSD), just use the “Install to another drive” option.
