Deane Gage is the 2020 recipient of the $3000 He Waka Hiringa Scholarship from the AST Scholarship Trust, which has awarded seven scholarships to Te Wānanga o Aotearoa tauira this year. The $3000 scholarships are awarded by the Aotearoa Scholarship Trust, which has been supporting tauira since 2012 to help them achieve their higher educational goals, with a particular focus on Māori and Pasifika educational excellence. Scholarships are awarded to tauira who have demonstrated a commitment to educational success and a desire to want to give back to their communities, whānau, hapū and iwi.
