This is my first jump from starting the AFF program and I am HOOKED. I was able to do all canopy piloting by myself without assistance from a radio (I still had one just in case) which I was pretty proud of as well! During the jump I had to check in with my instructors, consistently read my altimeter, perform 3 practice pulls and pull my own chute at 5500ft, Jump #: 8 Date: August 5, 2023 Place: Alberta Skydive Central (ASC) Aircraft: C-206 Equipment: 230 canopy Altitude: 9500ft Delay/Total Time: 35/00:00:35 Accuracy: 50m Background: I have been indoor skydiving for over 2 years, have won 1st place in Freestyle 2 years in a row competing in the Western Canadian Indoor Skydiving Championships! Previously I have also completed 7 GFF Jumps so I have a bit of canopy experience, however I really wanted to get some freefall so I switched programs.
