The NO HOPE mod for Dead Space (2008) created by @TomPillberg changes the Impossible difficulty to its entirety by handcapping the player on almost all elements (damage input, stasis duration...) as well as making all the enemies more harder to dispose of (you'll need to dismember them almost completely). Modder's description of the mod: NO HOPE aims to provide a more hardcore and immersive Dead Space playthrough than what is offered by the vanilla Impossible mode. Enemies have to be nearly torn apart to be stopped. Enemies deal more damage, stasis duration and charge have been decreased, ammo stack limits and magazine capacity has been reduced, and much more... Nightmare pushes Issac to his absolute limits. You should first beat Standard No Hope before attempting Nightmare. P.S: Tom dm-ed a new patch of the latest version in which the crashes should not occur anymore. Aside from that, the Line Gun's alt fire got reworked... didn't expected it to be this fast hahaha.
