The cost of making international calls in Ghana is 19 cents per minute as against that of Nigeria and South Africa which is pegged 3 cents per minute. The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Telecommunications Chamber of Commerce, Kweku Sakyi Addo blames the spate of Sim Box fraud in the country on the pricing of the international call rate between Ghana and Nigeria. To him, the way out is to review the Electronic Communications Act 785, which pegs the international call charge rate at 19 cents per minute.
