Feeding time and Baby Watch 2020 turns into a doctoring session when we notice BoJangles is limping and shuffling with limited mobility! Join us as we take a look at her hooves and treat her for an infection in her hoof! Time is of the essence because this gal is VERY pregnant and will be having babies any day now! I am not a Veterinarian and only wish to share how we approach these situations. -We thoroughly clean the hoof and trim out any dead, damaged, or overgrown hoof. -Clean and flush with Peroxide and Watered Down Iodine -Hoof n Heal & Coppertox can be used on goats... do not use Coppertox on sheep due to the copper toxicity. -Epsom Salt Salve in a Baby Diaper placed on the hoof like a boot and wrapped with Vet Wrap. -Change wrappings daily until healed -LA200 and Peniciliin can also be syringed from the bottle and used to flush the damage hoof.
