SUNY Downstate Endocrinology Fellowship Program

Fellows are assigned to the SUNY Downstate - Kings County Hospital Center Campus, Maimonides Medical Center, Woodhull Medical Center and to the VHA - NY Harbor-Health Care System, Brooklyn Campus on a rotating basis. At each site they attend 3 or 4 clinics per week, 3 clinics at SUNY, 4 clinics at KCHC, 6 clinics at VHA-Brooklyn, 4 clinics at Maimonides, 3 clinics at Woodhull .All fellows attend a single weekly continuity clinic for the duration of the [2-year] fellowship. Fellows are also required to do inpatient consultations in Endocrinology and Metabolism in each of the respective hospitals. Fellows are required to identify a faculty research mentor and start at least one research project in the first year. Research activities to continue throughout the fellowships.
