The decade from 1986-96 saw the rise in the heavy metal movement take a dramatic shift in a more extreme direction starting with legendary albums such as Reign In Blood, Obsessed By Cruelty, Pleasure To Kill, Morbid Visions, etc. The cacophony of these violent sounds made their way over to an underground scene starting up on the largest island on earth. With it all, a raw energy was building and starting to take shape in and of itself. I have included one track for each of these years in succession as a snapshot of what was in this era for Australian Metal. Many of these bands are also still active to this day, Enjoy. Play it loud!
