During the evening and early morning hours of June 7th and 8th of 1984 a significant tornado outbreak effected a number of midwestern states. While most of the tornadoes occurred during the evening of June 7th, the most notable of the tornadoes occurred at 1 AM the following morning. This devastating tornado wiped out a majority of the village of Barneveld, Wisconsin and was formally rated as an F5. Despite the astonishing details about this particular tornado and rest of the outbreak, it has seemingly slipped through the cracks of time and has become somewhat of a historical footnote that rarely gets talked about.
