This 160-square-meter structure blends brutalist design with nature, offering panoramic views of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a floating terrace, and a central atrium, the guesthouse balances openness and privacy. The minimalist interior showcases Vipp’s signature Danish design, with a sleek kitchen, curated furniture, and a sunken lounge. A separate studio provides a tranquil workspace, while a skylight installation inspired by the Southern Lights adds dynamic color shifts. Operating off-grid with solar panels and rainwater collection, the guesthouse is a model of sustainability. Enhanced by Lin Utzon’s sculptures, the retreat harmonizes art, architecture, and nature, offering a serene escape for those seeking solitude and inspiration.
