A Unique Experience, The Millersburg Ferry!

In this Episode: Join us in August of 2024 as we’ve returned home to Pennsylvania where we’ll be checking another experience off our bucket list! Welcome to Buttonwood, one of Pennsylvania’s most popular campgrounds! Buttonwood is a privately owned campground located in the Juniata River Valley near Mifflintown, PA. The highlight of this campground is going to be floating down the Juniata River. For a small fee, the campground staff will shuttle you upstream and provide tubes to float back down to the campground. While at the campground, we also were able to take a side trip to Millersburg to ride a historic ferry. This is one of the oldest forms of transportation in Pennsylvania, and one of the oldest ferryboats in the United States. We’re all about unique experiences on this channel, and this ferry boat is truly one of them. Pennsylvania is so full of history, and it’s so very evident here. While this is not the norm for us and our RV camping adventures, it was fun to try something new! We really enjoyed our stay here and the amenities they had to offer.
