In the early morning hours on 08Sep2019 I was recalled from liberty to respond to the capsized 656 foot car transport vessel Golden Ray which led into the late afternoon of 09 Sep2019 with 24 persons on board this short video is my best attempt to share my efforts in the rescue which wouldn’t have been possible without our local agencies, Coast Guard Air Station Savannah , and many others from all over the country that responded to this case all lives were saved and accounted for the last four which were trapped inside for nearly to days came through a hole that was drilled in the side of the ship on 09Sep2019.
