Talk to Cogita with the Plates now gathered and Volo will appear too. She requests 3 Logs. I nab the one I need from Obsidian Fieldlands by the coast. Cogita trades you the Pixie Plate for obtaining the 3 Logs. We're now sent over to the Celestica Ruins. I evolve Porygon2 to Porygon-Z and head out to Celestica Ruins where I capture a Hisuian Voltorb before meeting with Volo where we learn about Giratina who Volo thinks can challenge Arceus. Now we're to head off to Mt. Coronet's Peak where we fought Palkia and Dialga. We find Volo at the top and we find out his master plan. He had the final Plate along with Giratina and a familiar theme starts playing. Although very obvious from his appearance, he is an ancestor to Cynthia, and is the toughest trainer of the region. He challenges you to a fight with a familiar team. The difficulty of this fight is enough but what comes after makes this harder than anything so far. He leads with Spiritomb, which Gardevoir handily defeats, as well as the incoming Roserade. His Garchomp takes out Gardevoir but my Garchomp take sout his with a Bulldoze Dragon Claw combo. Next up is Togekiss and Garchomp goes down after denting it. I decide to sacrifice Samurott and revive Garchomp, knowing I'll need it for the aftermath of the fight. Luxray finishes off Togekiss. Lucario comes in and I survive a Close Combat so Fully Restore Garchomp in case it needs to take a hit. Thunder Paralyses and thankfully, fully Paralyses Lucario so I can finish it off. Hisuian Arcanine for Milotic is the only swap here. I decide on sending in Infernape and using a turn to revive Samurott. Samurott takes out the Hisuian Arcanine and the battle is won. But... He uses a 7th Pokémon. He summons Giratina in its Altered Forme and you're thrown into battle. Samurott being in last helps, well... until it gets Aura Sphere'd. I meet his Giratina with Palkia and two Spacial Rends get it down to critical health. I finish off Giratina, but then it transforms into its Origin Forme and back to Full Health. Luxray gets taken out and its all on Garchomp to finish the fight. No ability helps as I'm able to use Bulldoze and then a Critical Hit Dragon Claw to finish it off. Giratina flees and Volo accepts defeat, handing you the Spooky Plate and ending the quest for finding the Plates. The Celestica Fltue transforms into the Azure Flute, the tool used to summon Arceus. However we still have our mission to catch every Pokémon before we can make that happen. I look through the empty slots and try to work out what's left for the most part. I put Hisuian Voltorb into the party and head back to Jubilife and get a request to track down Giratina. I evolve Vulpix into Ninetales for one slot and then head to Cobalt Coastlands and to a cave we found earlier in the mountains. I get to work on the backpacks I see before heading directly there and find another Wisp on the small island to the SE of Firespit Island. Finally I head to the Cave on Springpath, and thankfully there is no puzzle element like with the Gen 4 games. You'll fight Giratina in its Origin Forme again and Luxray does the job to catch it this time. You'll also obtain the Griseous Orb which allows you to change between the Origin and Altered Formes. Return to camp and hand in the request. 0:00 - Cogita 16:50 - Pokémon Wielder Volo 22:40 - Giratina Battle 24:40 - Origin Forme Giratina Battle 36:10 - Jubilife Village 39:45 - Cobalt Village 43:35 - Wisp 30/107 45:30 - Catching Giratina
