37419 & Friends at Bamfurlong - 07th May 2020

37419 is seen twice at Bamfurlong with some friends, first the Intercity "Mainline" liveried locomotive is heading south to Crewe with electric locomotive 88002 in tow. A little while later 37419 would return, this time with classmate 37218 however 218 was leading on the northbound run despite what we had thought/hoped. They've really done a good job with the "heritage" livery on 419, she really looks the part :) There wasn't much by way of thrash on either clip unfortunately, on the southbound it was following a Manchester bound stopper so was running on yellows and on the northbound they were approaching a red at Bamfurlong Jn which cleared to a single yellow and feather as it was routed across the junction and under the mainline to Springs Branch. Still, at least there were no motorbikes this time ;) The workings today were; 0Z37 - Carlisle Kingmoor - Crewe Gresty Bridge 0Z38 - Crewe Gresty Bridge - Carlisle Kingmoor As it currently stands, in the United Kingdom we are allowed out of our houses for exercise such as walks. Fortunately for me the woodland here is a 10-15 minute walk from home so as long as the rules don't change (or I suddenly get called back into work) I will hopefully be able to time my walks for when something interesting passes :) Whatever happens though folks, stay safe.
