The Static Between Us ~ Golden State ~ Flynn | Swift | Jysar | Perez

On 15th of August, we headed to Ace Cross Country with Flynn, Swift, Jysar and Bobby on the box and Perez meeting us there. Flynn and Swift are first in the video, neither of them had been out cross country schooling in at least two years! They both did so well and quickly progressed to the bigger fences! Neither of them looked at the steps, ditches, water or any of the questions! Swift even did a step down into water a couple of times! Flynn showed his talent and scope and, though he was slightly confused to begin with, he took it all in his stride and found it easy! Sadly, we didn't get quite as much time on the course as we wanted due to the other horses taking up so much. Swift and Flynn are looking for lovely homes! Sorry that the footage is pretty appalling for us, as the video camera is dead and the DSLR isn't used to being so over worked so the battery went half way through their time on course! Apologies, we are working to fix this, and the footage does get better throughout the video! Next in the video was Jysar, who can be seen with a schooling livery, Bobby. Bobby has his own video coming so we didn't put much of him in but he did give Jysar amazing leads so definitely deserves a mention! Jysar doesn't have much experience jumping and he's a very laid back Fjord, so we wondered if he would get off the ground at all! He was actually excited and full of the joys of life so we had a great time! Jysar jumped everything he was pointed at, first time!! Not bad for a horse who had been under saddle less than 2 months! We had the best time with him and he definitely enjoyed himself too which was lovely! Last up in the video is the lovely Perez who can be seen enjoying his jumping in a hackemore. This horse is a dream! After being absolutely amazing for his mum, we had a sit and popped a few of the bigger jumps, he was so brilliant and really flew! He hasn't had masses of experience jumping but he loves it so much and wants to go round with his rider rather than tanking off or being cheeky! We had such a wonderful day and can't thank Lynsey at ACE for always keeping and happy with fantastic facilities, but also the friendliness and personality which ACE has in spades. Thank you also to Helen for driving Perez; Dad for driving us; Mum for filming and supporting us; Zoe for giving Meg a skull cap so that Lauren wasn't riding 5 horses herself(!); Sara for being lovely about us being in the way when we should have been finished!
